My Trip To San Antonio

I recently went to San Antonio. The weather has been getting better there, and there are plenty of attractions to visit. Here are some good things to do when your in San Antonio.

Food –

I am a big restaurant person, and I like to go out and taste test different restaurants. On UTSA Blvd, there is a taco place called Chela’s Tacos. They are a red food truck. I stopped to see what they had on the menu. I was so glad I stopped, the tacos were delicious. They have a cilantro taco and shrimp tacos that are excellent. If you like chinese food, this place called Fire Wok is in the Huebner shopping center, and it has awesome chinese and asian food in San Antonio. I went there like 3 times during my week stay in San Antonio.

Another place I went to go eat was Mama Margies. I went after visiting a nightclub, and the San Antonio locals say it’s the spot to go. Cheap drinks, and excellent Mexican food. It’s like Taco Cabana except they sell alcohol and better food.

Hotel –

The hotel I stayed at was the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites San Antonio Northwest. They are on 5535 University Heights Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78249. The hotel was wonderful. Looks newly constructed as well. Out of the week I spent in San Antonio, I stayed in this hotel the whole time. It was great because after visiting the attractions, the hotel has a nice bar, pool, and hot tub to enjoy. The rooms were clean, and I was very happy that they were really close to the Airport and the places I went to. My stay of the Holiday Inn in San Antonio, TX was wonderful.

San Antonio Attractions –

Believe me, there is a lot of stuff to do in San Antonio. It’s best to categorize attractions based on their locations, and visit one side of town every day during your visit. Downtown area is very large, and that is where the River Walk, is located. You can spend a day or two there, and you can finish all the sightseeing. There is also theme parks like Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. It’s good to give those a day each as well.

Nightlife –

San Antonio has a couple of colleges, so there is a lot of college kids in San Antonio. Meaning, the college kids always know the best spots. Downtown San Antonio, and the Stone Oak area of San Antonio are where the best night life is. Stone Oak is a bit expensive, and it is the higher income area of San Antonio. Downtown is cheaper, but you will get a mixed crowd. Espana is a good place that I went to, it was right down the street from the Holiday Inn so I could walk back to the hotel after a night out.

Education – If you are thinking about going to college in San Antonio, I can tell you that it is awesome. The college community is great, and UTSA has an excellent campus. Texas A&M San Antonio just recently opened as well, and they are growing very fast. UTSA has a good football team to watch
